[German only] At this point I have started a sort of mini book club with my friend Vera who reads a lot, and this was her first recommendation to get an overview of what’s happening currently in the German speaking book scene. 20 very different books, each gets about 4 pages. It’s sometimes hard to imagine how the books will turn out to be after an excerpt this short, but still this was a good idea I’m probably repeating next year. About 5 of the books I could actually imagine enjoying. The rest seems ivory tower style unnecessarily intellectualized.
